Education & Motivation
TFC identifies the requisite stages of Education as Understanding; Buy-in; Practical Application. Practical Application is essential because the doing must get done. However, Buy-In is the stage Leaders will compromise. Without Buy-In, your Leader's direction equates to little more than "because I said so."
The talent and skill to sell the change we call Education is necessary learning for the successful Leader. Advancing skill while maximizing reason is a daily Leadership challenge for Middle Management.
The priority for front-line Leadership is to ensure the Employee comes back tomorrow. Everything else comes after. The most effective Leadership is always rooted in well positioned Motivation. Strong Discipline is the natural result of consistently strong Education & Motivation.

Love, Fear, & Forgiveness
If we are talking about building a high-performing team, we will be talking about Love. We may refer to it as Trust, Patience, Understanding, Charity, etc., but it is Love. And why do we need all of the Love? Because of all of the Fear. Leadership done right will never be perfection...but it will be forgiving and I have never met a Leader who didn't need some forgiveness from time to time. The cool part is that when we Love so often, we are so often Loved.
